About

My name is Xander Hayden and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in gender diversity, neurodiversity, eating disorders, and trauma, and I enjoy working with individuals and families across the lifespan.

I graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2015 with my MA in professional mental health counseling and became an LPC in 2018. I returned to school in 2020 to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in health psychology where I completed an additional MA in clinical psychology in 2022 and anticipate completion of my PsyD in August 2025.

I have specialized training in providing gender affirming therapy and write letters according to the WPATH standards of care. While at Lewis and Clark, I also completed an additional year of training for eating disorders in their eating disorder certificate program, which I have since taught in as an adjunct instructor. Regarding trauma-specific training, I completed EMDR training in April 2020. I have also been attending workshops and trainings regarding neurodivergence, specifically autism, and am currently training to be able to provide psychological testing and assessment upon completion of my doctorate.

In my spare time, I enjoy riding my motorcycle around the world, learning languages, gardening, and spending time with my dogs. I am also a first-generation college gradate and am passionate about increasing access to healthcare and challenging interlocking systems of oppression that prevent people from being able to access the care that they need.
